Just the Way I See It: IMSA Watkins Glen Review

Story and Photo By Vickie Miller For your racing dollar, Watkins Glen International (WGI) is an Extreme Coupon shopper dream deal! For $75, a race fan was treated to a three-day weekend event whose entry list included 17 Lamborghini Super Trofeos, 35 Porsche GT3s, 25 Prototype Lites, 59 Continental Tire (CT) Series cars, and 55 in the TUDOR class. The park looks pretty on TV but just like Detroit, the park was hit with a hard winter and economic down turn. The fan walking paths are usually all mud, but this year I saw one new sidewalk path (I didn’t use, not sure where it went) and some mulch with big tree sticks tried to hide the mud. Tip: never bring good...
